Vacation Home History
Welcome to Sunset Loon Cottage, the cutest little cottage on Prior Lake and Lady Loon’s newest addition to the family of amazing vacation rental cottages on Prior and Spring Lakes. The cottage was originally built in 1930 as a summer cottage and was remodeled into a year round cottage in the early 1950’s. The owners, Dave and Nikki, are both patriotic retired military veterans who proudly display their respective service flags from a flagpole in the corner of the yard. The interior of the cottage has been completely remodeled over the past two years. Dave and Nikki have many fond memories with family and friends in the vacation cottage but recently moved to a larger home on Prior Lake. Rather than selling their beloved cottage they decided to make it available to you.
Sunset Loon is a captivating two-story cottage with two cozy bedrooms. It also has a full bath on the upper level and half bath on the walk out level. The upper level also has a modern kitchen, flat screen TV and an open family room that leads to a large west-facing deck with the most amazing sunset views. It also has a detached dry boat house that was remodeled recently and has a queen bed. The cottage also includes a private dock, deck furniture, BBQ grill, fishing poles, kayaks, and paddle boards. Sunset Loon is within easy walking distance of downtown Prior Lake, the Knotty Oar Marina, Charlie’s restaurant, and Lakefront Park.
